Microsoft Power Platform is a line of business intelligence and app development, and app connectivity software applications. Microsoft developed the Fx low-code programming language for expressing logic the Power Platform.

 

Power Platform:

The Power Platform came from this vision of recognizing that organizations have an increasing flow of data everywhere. The belief that organizations can harness data and gain insights to drive business processes in Power Platform.

The Power Platform is a collective term for three Microsoft products: Power BI, PowerApps and Power Automate. They provide the means to help people easily manipulate, surface, automate and analyse data and can be used with Office 365 and Dynamics 365 as well as other third-party apps and other Microsoft services.

 

The Power Platform is possible thanks to the Common Data Service, which is essentially the underlying data platform that provides a unified and simplified data schema so that applications and services can inter-operate.

 

The Power Platform contained four major components:

Ø  Power Apps is application development for low to no code apps.

Ø  Power Automate (formerly known as Flow) enables process automation.

Ø  Power Virtual Agents are intelligent virtual bots.

 

The data is connected is through over 275 different data connectors are inherently built for Power Platform. Then you can take it the next step further and use artificial intelligence (AI) to build in logic and build AI around that, data is housed in the  formerly known as the Common Data. All the data can be accessed across any application because it resides within this one primary data collection.
